Activities for Children Up Through Age 5 (5 year Kindergarten)
Sunday School (9:45 AM) We have Sunday School classes for children and adults of all ages. The Preschool division uses Gospel Light curriculum, which incorporates Bible Stories and Christian Living concepts into a multi-sensory lesson. Children learn through Bible teaching and related craft projects and songs. All preschool aged Sunday School classes have at least 2 adult teachers who are church members.
Extended Session (8:30 & 11:00 AM services) Nursery Care is a congregational volunteer co-op providing childcare for ages birth through 4 years of age. We refer to nursery care as "Extended Session," and volunteers are equipped with lesson plans and resources that echo the preschool Sunday School curriculum each week.
Mission Friends (Wednesday Evening at 6:00 PM) is a program designed to help preschoolers age 3-5 understand and appreciate the lives of missionaries serving in the United States and throughout the world. Children are guided through different parts of the globe each month studying culture with an experiential, hands-on approach and a unique mission focus. This makes missionary life more real to the child, therefore making Christ more real.
Preschool Choir (Wednesday Evening at 6:45 PM) Led by Mary Merritt, preschoolers age 3-5 will learn the importance of music in praising the Lord. Mrs. Mary teaches basic musical concepts and theory with a distinctly kid-centered focus.
Wednesday Night Nursery (6:00-7:45) Nursery care is provided for our youngest children on Wednesday nights. This allows parents to attend Bible Study classes. Our staff enjoys providing a loving atmosphere for our little ones.
